Steps to go Offline
Offline mode will allow to work in the app without internet connection. This video explains how to scan serial numbers offline when your internet connection is weak or unavailable on-site.
To go Offline you have to make sure you follow these steps:
Ensure you have a good Internet connection before going offline
Upload or delete any Inspection items in the queue
Ensure you have clicked on "Prepare for Offline box" for a specific solar plant
Nevertheless, if you try to go offline and some of these steps are not followed,
A warning message, titled "Unable to go offline" will pop up
If any item is not deleted or uploaded in the Inspection section, it will show the name of the Solar plant where the unfinished inspections are located.
When all conditions have been met and you press the "Go Offline" button, a message will pop-up asking if you want to go offline. Press "Confirm" to move forward.
Once pressed, items will start downloading. At the end of the process, a new window will appear confirming that the data was downloaded successfully. Then press "Done" to switch the app to offline.
Functionality available in Offline mode
Offline mode allows you to work without internet connection and use Inspections, Task Lists and Serial Number app functionalities including GPS location.
Inspections, Task Lists and Serial Number scanning will work the same way as they do in Online mode. The only difference lies in Inspections, instead of selecting the desired items from the queue and uploading them, the items will be automatically uploaded once you return to Online mode.
