Tasks - Managing Subtasks

Adding subtasks

There are 2 ways to add subtasks:
  1. Subtasks can be added and managed in the Task List itself
  2. Subtasks can be created in a Task Template, located in the left menu on a portfolio level, meaning these templates can be used in the Task Lists in all solar plants visible to that user.

If a group of subtasks have been added to Tasks already, a user can manage subtasks within a Task List. Users with Editor access can manage subtasks in the right hand drawer of when clicking on a Task in the List tab.

When clicking on a row, the side drawer opens up and subtasks appear when scrolling down the drawer, under the task information.

Clicking on the "Add subtask" button will prompt a modal that allows the entry of:
  1. Subtask name
  2. Selection type:
    1. This depends on what information needs to be actioned from the subtask
      1. Pass/Fail/NA, which is used for a checklist-style action e.g. "Check cable connection"
      2. Number, which is used for a type of measurement e.g. Module temperature measurement (C)
      3. Date, which would be displayed if a task was date dependent e.g. "Serial number added"
      4. Text, which could be used for anything answer that might need to be alphanumeric

Using subtasks

Subtasks normally would be set up in the SolarGain portal and used when on site, using SolarGain mobile. However, the subtasks can also be marked off in the portal, if required.

Subtask detail
  1. In the task right hand drawer, the arrow within subtasks is clickable, opening up that subtask detail
  2. The user can select or add in the required information and add a comment and/or image to the subtask history
    1. All of this information will appear in the Exports for that Task list
  3. If the user is the Editor of the Task, they can go into the individual subtask and delete by clicking on the "Delete subtask" button
