Search Options and Functionality in the Digital Twin

Search Options and Functionality in the Digital Twin

Introduction

With the Digital Twin advanced search functionality, users are able to filter by selecting and combining different components, categories, specific value range, specific description and specific locations based on the naming system created.

Clicking on a component on the map view will show all the information related to that onboarded component will be shown in the right hand drawer.

Once the search criteria are submitted, the system will show total quantity and a table with list of selected criteria including descriptions that have been on-boarded. Clicking on the row within the table will show all the relevant information that has been collected on that specific component as well.

In this video, you’ll learn how to create punch lists from site inspection data using the Digital Twin. You’ll also explore the details of a punch list (including task history, colour guide, and site map) and see how to share punch lists with other users or organisations to streamline collaboration.

Advanced Search Tools Explained

Selection functionality

Add Rule

To add search criteria to open specific information

Add Group

To create nested (“groups”) searches, and allow to organize a search statement that uses more than one kind of connector (AND, OR)

And

Use this function to determine that ALL conditions in the search/group are TRUE

Or

Use this function to determine if ANY conditions in the search/group are TRUE.

Search by selecting one or more search criteria

This can be done by selecting one or multiple data categories/sub-categories available on SolarGain. Users can select categories type such as Component Type, Construction Annotations, Visual Evidence, Thermal Defects, EL Test, RISO Measurement, IV Measurement and Module Properties.

Search for specific value range

For some categories users can filter by specific value range available. By simply clicking on of them and typing the value, the system will show the result according to it.

Search for specific description

This can be done by selecting a description criterion available and typing any information needed, the system will show the result according to it. See example below

Search for specific location or naming systems

The localisation feature enables users to search for components based on their physical location. For instance, users can search for module locations within

Click component on the Map View

By clicking on the component on the map view, all the relevant information related to the selected component will be shown in the right hand drawer.

Add to tasks

When the search results meet the criteria needed, the information can be sent to Task Lists (or Punch List) directly from this page

Can I add subtask template to a random number of components to a Task List?

You can select any component type from the Digital Twin, click "Add to tasks" button, which will allow you to choose a random percent or random number to add for spot checking on site. Please see the steps in this video:

Commissioning search examples

Confirm the Module on-site distribution

  1. Ensures modules are installed according to design/CAD and match delivery records
  2. e.g. Modules with a specific Nameplate Wp capacity “Nameplate Pmax"
  1.  Modules with a specific Current Sorting value

Locate modules with Factory EL Test

  1. Confirms delivered and installed modules align with factory QC testing
  2. e.g. Modules with an EL test on record

Locate modules from a specific delivery

  1. Confirms correct placement of delivered modules during construction/commissioning
  2. e.g. Modules originating from a specific delivery container
  1. Modules originating from a specific delivery pallet

Warranty Claims search examples

Locate modules with a thermal anomaly and a visual damage

  1. Supports evidence of manufacturing or transport defects

Locate modules with thermal defects associated to a singular batch

  1. Useful for identifying systemic issues in specific production batches.
  2. e.g. If serial numbers from your modules have been scanned, you can potentially identify batches and trends with a corresponding anomaly found from your thermal reports.

Locate modules with Factory EL Test

  1. Links field performance back to factory test records, helpful in disputes or claims
  2. e.g. Modules with an EL test on record

Locate modules from a specific delivery

  1. Provides traceability when raising issues with a supplier
  2. e.g. Modules originating from a specific delivery container
