Construction Management - Update Progress

Construction Management - Update Progress

Introduction

The Update Progress page allows users to update the construction progress on their own. This enables you to update the construction progress on a daily basis and ensure that you have an accurate and up-to-date progress report on the SolarGain platform.

The Update Progress page is available to all customers with a SolarGain PRO license and can be edited by everyone with an Editor permission level.

Update Progress

The Update Progress tab is viewable for anyone who has got a PRO license for the solar farm.

The page shows a summary of all the events recorded against that solar farm, whether they were created by a user on the SolarGain platform or from Above with the data collected from drone imagery. The page shows:
  1. Date of the event
  2. Who created it
    1. Name of Organisation and user  OR
    2. Above
  3. Who last modified it
    1. Name of Organisation and user  OR
    2. Above
  4. Last modification date & time (UTC Timezone)

When clicking on the "View" button, a pop-up modal will appear to show a summary of all the progress made at that event date. The progress is recorded and presented per Block (as can be seen in the screenshot below).

Creating/Editing an Event

Anyone with Editor permissions will be able to:
  1. Edit the latest event - whether it was created by someone else in your org or not
  2. Create a new event
  3. Delete the latest event
To create/edit/delete the latest event, click on the "Create new event" or other buttons (as per screenshot below).

Initially, there is a pop-modal that asks the user to select a date for the event they are creating.

Afterwards, the user can make as many edits to that event as they wish, by clicking on the (+) button within each block. For each input, the user needs to select:
  1. Block - designed to be easily expanded/collapsed
  2. Component Type
  3. Status From - the status of the component(s) before the event
  4. Status To - the status of the component(s) after the event
  5. Value - the number or distance (m) of components that have changed status
As you can see from the screenshot below, the system knows how many components are available for each "Status From", giving you visibility of the number of components remaining after the event will be created.

Once all the data is entered, click "Confirm" to save all the information into the system and update the Progress Reports.

Important: If Above is currently analysing drone data (not yet published), the warning message below will appear.

Impact on the Construction page

The changes made on the Update Progress tab will present themselves in two key areas:
  1. Progress Reports  tab
  2. Exports
