API Integrations FAQ


What is the Above Surveying Public API?

The Above Surveying API gives customers secure, programmatic access to key SolarGain data — including task management, construction progress, and performance metrics — for every solar plant they manage.

What data can I access through the API?

You can retrieve:
  1. Task management data (including subtasks, comments, attachments, priorities, and due dates)
  2. Construction progress data
  3. Thermographic reports data
  4. Site Observations - information taken from site with our mobile application

What can I do with the data from the API?

Customers commonly use the API to:
  1. Populate internal dashboards and data lakes
  2. Enrich reporting tools like Power BI
  3. Automate updates into CMMS or project management platforms such as Fluke or Procore

Is the API one-way or two-way?

The API supports one-way data export from SolarGain to third-party tools "out-of-the-box".

For a full two-way sync, allowing authorised systems to write data back to SolarGain, please get in touch with an Above employee and they will put you in touch with the Product Team.
